Meet Dr. Andrea Yaley

I absolutely love what I do! Dentistry is the perfect combination of all of my interests: art, technology, and healthcare. I enjoy being in a profession that is helping people become healthier and keep their teeth longer, with less pain than ever before!

My favorite part of working with patients is that we often get to build a life-long friendship. Our office works hard to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where we get to know patients and their families for many years to come.

My Education

I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine in Southern California.

Dentistry is always changing and evolving in what we can offer our patients. As each year goes by, we are seeing new ways to keep patients’ teeth and gums healthy, which we integrate into the practice.

Each month I take continuing education courses to keep up with the constantly improving technology and techniques in dentistry. Continuing education enables me and my practice to be on the cutting edge of the latest trends to bring to my patients. Courses on Invisalign®, veneers, and cosmetic treatments give up-to-date knowledge of technique-sensitive procedures to give patients the best outcomes.

At Home and In the Community

I grew up in Seattle, WA, but besides that, my family is from the Bay Area. I am the fourth generation of my family to live in the Bay Area! I now live in Menlo Park, right down the street from the office.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing piano, reading, and painting. Before Covid, I would spend quality time at the beach or up in the city with friends and family on the weekends. Now I just stay at home in my backyard.

As a personal hobby, I have a strong interest in fine food and wine. Before dental school I worked at a winery, I brew my own cider, and have recently achieved my Level 1 Sommelier Certification.

I also believe that volunteering is one of the most rewarding things I can do. It allows me to make a real difference in the community where they would otherwise have little or no access to dental care. I often volunteer within the dental field. It can range between going into local elementary schools and teaching the children about oral hygiene and dentistry to seeing patients who have never met a dentist in Costa Rica and Panama. I am also very active in the local Junior League, where we volunteer in the community in many other ways.

On Fridays, I work at the Ravenswood Family Health Care Dental Clinic in East Palo Alto. This government-funded clinic helps people pay for their dental care on a sliding scale based on their income.

I have also been honored by the Dental Board of California to serve my profession as a Subject Matter Expert in helping create the Law and Ethics Exam for dentists in California.

My team and I are excited to meet you and welcome you to our practice. Our goal is that you feel well taken care of and leave with a smile on your face.
